Can Thought Activate Numbing "medication" in the body?

Remembering a toe injury in specific detail (from the point of the impact, to the tearing sensation, next to the sting, then onto the throb, and and finally a swollen numbing sensation) MAY be activating opioid-like neuro-chemical processes in the brain instigated by THOUGHT. Why? Those who do so, report feeling sensations in their toes and they can almost instantly identify which toe it was that injured! PHOTO CREDIT: Ben Hartley, Unplash.com
